Lighthearted

I was listening to www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hIWdk…, which is an incredibly inspiring visual and musical tribute to an artist who died... and suddenly, I just wanted to draw something... encouraging? Uplifting?  I don't know how to word it... Something with the mood of the piece.  Not sure if this quite fits, but it's what I ended up with.
It feels like a long time since I've drawn Kiell... And I know he's changed a bit since I last drew him.  Most notably, the end of his tail.  I've been wanting to flesh out my little redesign of a gryphon's tail a little more for a while now.  Instead of just a feathery plume, it's now a fan of flight feathers... which (I think) ought to be significantly more useful for flying. Also, his fur/feathers are a little more shaggy. I have them living in a very cold place... so I figure his plumage ought to be warm, right?
Aaanymawho... I'm still sick... but it felt good to draw something, especially something that's just simply happy.  I still don't think I draw nearly enough smiles.

Anywho... Comment with your thoughts...  I'd love to know what you think!
